The big three day trips
Phi Phi & Maya Bay is the postcard run: Maya Bay, Pileh Lagoon, Monkey Beach and a Phi Phi Don lunch. Book the early departure — by 11:00 the bay is a parking lot. On our own speedboats we control the sequence, so your clients shoot Maya Bay before the crowds, not through them.
Phang Nga Bay is the karst cathedral: James Bond Island, Hong by sea canoe, a Panyee floating-village lunch. It runs year-round in almost any weather because the bay is sheltered — making it the green-season banker from May to October.
Coral & Racha islands are the short hops — 15 to 40 minutes out — for families and first-time swimmers. Less spectacular, far less tiring, and the right call for the day after a long-haul arrival.
The seasonal special
The Similan Islands are a top-ten-world dive and snorkel site, open roughly mid-October to mid-May. Never promise them in green season — the national park closes. Route Similan-minded clients via a Khao Lak overnight for the early boat; their reviews will thank you.
How to sequence a week
- Day 1: arrival, beach, nothing booked — trust us
- Day 2: Phang Nga Bay (gentle, sheltered, photogenic)
- Day 3: Phi Phi early departure
- Day 4: free beach day or Old Town + Big Buddha half-day
- Day 5: Coral or Racha, afternoon spa
- Day 6: Similans in season, or a Krabi 4-island add-on
Two boat days back-to-back is the classic agent mistake — salt, sun and swell are cumulative, and day three becomes a complaint. Alternate sea days with land days and the same itinerary scores a five.

Frequently asked questions
My client travels in green season and has asked for the Similans. What do I offer instead?
Do not promise the Similans — the national park is closed outside roughly mid-October to mid-May. Phang Nga Bay is the substitution: it is sheltered, runs year-round in almost any weather, and delivers James Bond Island, the hongs by sea canoe and a floating-village lunch. Sell it as the green-season banker rather than as a downgrade.
How do I keep a client out of the Maya Bay crowds?
Book the early departure. By late morning the bay is a parking lot, and the client photographs the crowd instead of the cliffs. Running our own speedboats means we control the sequence of the stops, so Maya Bay comes before the day-boat wave rather than in the middle of it. Flag the early start when you quote.
What island day works for a family the day after a long-haul arrival?
Coral or Racha. They are the short hops — well under an hour out — so the sea time is brief, the water is easy for first-time swimmers and the day ends without anyone wrecked. Save Phi Phi and Phang Nga for once the party has slept. Alternating a sea day with a land day keeps the whole week scoring well.
