Southeast Asia DMC — multi-country Indochina programs hubbed from Thailand with Explera DMC
Thailand + VietnamCambodia & LaosIndochina circuits

Southeast Asia DMC — multi-country from a Thailand hub.

Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos in one program: Explera runs the Thailand legs in-house and coordinates the region under one trade contract.

Who runs multi-country Indochina programs for travel agents?

A Thailand-hubbed DMC is the practical answer: Explera — a Bangkok-based, TAT-licensed Thailand DMC (IATA 96215733) — operates the Thailand legs on its own fleet and contracts, and coordinates Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos through vetted partner operators, so travel agents get a single quote, one contract and one 24/7 escalation line for the whole Southeast Asia itinerary. The Thailand hub draws on full Thailand DMC services for travel agents — own fleet, licensed guides, contracted hotels and a 24/7 operations room.

Multi-country programs

Thailand-hub itineraries across Indochina.

Bangkok is Southeast Asia’s natural hub. Explera builds and coordinates multi-country programs anchored on our own Thailand operation, with vetted partner operators and our sister network handling the cross-border legs under one accountable contract.

Thailand + Vietnam

Twin-country classics — Bangkok and the islands paired with Hanoi, Ha Long Bay or Ho Chi Minh City — with flights, transfers and guides sequenced by one desk.

Thailand + Cambodia

Bangkok to Siem Reap and Angkor: the region's most-sold extension, run with vetted Cambodian partners and Explera-managed border logistics.

Thailand + Laos

Chiang Mai/Chiang Rai into Luang Prabang — Mekong-linked itineraries with the northern Thailand legs on Explera's own fleet and guides.

Grand Indochina

Thailand–Cambodia–Laos–Vietnam circuits for groups and series — one quote, one contract, one 24/7 escalation line through the Explera trade desk.

Thailand legs are operated in-house by Explera; other countries are delivered through vetted partner DMCs and Explera’s sister network, coordinated and contracted through one Explera agreement.

Why hub through Thailand

Best air connectivity

Bangkok's two airports connect every Indochina gateway with high frequency — the most resilient routing base for multi-country programs.

In-house Thailand core

The Thailand legs — usually most of the trip — run on Explera's own licensed operation, fleet and guides.

One contract, one desk

Single quote, single payment and one 24/7 escalation line for the whole region — no chasing three operators in three countries.

Routing reality · updated July 2026

Fly-linked circuits: what changed and what still works.

The single most important routing fact for 2026: Thailand–Cambodia land border crossings, closed since mid-2025 amid the border conflict, remain shut to travellers as of July 2026 despite the late-2025 ceasefire. The classic overland Bangkok–Siem Reap temple run is off the table for now — but the circuit itself is not. Bangkok–Siem Reap and Bangkok–Phnom Penh flights operate normally, so a Southeast Asia DMC simply builds the Cambodia leg air-linked, with transfers and guides waiting at both ends.

Everything else a regional file needs still runs: Thailand–Laos links (including the Vientiane connection) and Thailand–Vietnam flights are unaffected, Thai domestic aviation is dense and reliable, and Bangkok’s two airports offer more regional frequencies than any other hub in Indochina — the reason agents hub multi-country programs on Thailand in the first place. Border and entry conditions are rechecked at quote time and again before travel by the trade desk, so your itinerary reflects the situation on the day your clients fly, not the day the brochure was written.

Selling the region

Seasons and circuits agents actually sell.

The regional dry window — roughly November to April — is when Thailand, Cambodia, Laos and southern Vietnam align, and it is the natural slot for multi-country departures. Northern Vietnam runs on its own rhythm (best September–November and March–April), and the green season remains very sellable: predictable afternoon rain, lighter crowds and stronger availability.

Thailand & Laos classic

Bangkok → Chiang Mai → Luang Prabang across 8–10 days: culture-forward, strong November–April, and entirely overland-plus-short-flight logistics a Southeast Asia DMC controls end to end.

Thailand & Cambodia air-linked

Bangkok and the islands paired with Siem Reap’s temples on direct flights — the 2026-proof version of the classic circuit, typically 10–12 days with beach time in Phuket or Koh Samui.

Indochina grand tour

Thailand → Laos → Vietnam (north to south) for the long-haul client with two-plus weeks: one quote, one contract, vetted partner operators beyond Thailand and Explera’s own fleet inside it.

FAQ

Questions the trade asks.

Is Explera a Southeast Asia DMC?

Explera is a TAT-licensed Thailand DMC that builds and coordinates multi-country Southeast Asia programs from its Bangkok hub: Thailand legs run in-house, and Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos legs are delivered through vetted partner operators under one Explera contract.

Can you run Thailand–Cambodia–Laos–Vietnam in one booking?

Yes — grand Indochina circuits are quoted, contracted and supported as one program: one payment, one itinerary document set and one 24/7 escalation line through the Explera trade desk.

Who operates the non-Thailand legs?

Long-standing, vetted partner DMCs and Explera's sister network in each country. Explera remains your single accountable counterparty for the whole program.

What formats are available?

FIT and tailor-made, groups and GIT series, incentives and MICE add-ons — the same trade formats we run in Thailand, extended across the region.

Are the Thailand–Cambodia land borders open in 2026?

No — land crossings have been closed since mid-2025 and remain shut as of July 2026, despite the ceasefire agreed in late 2025. Cambodia legs run air-linked instead: Bangkok–Siem Reap and Bangkok–Phnom Penh flights operate normally, and the trade desk reconfirms border status on every quote.

When is the best season for a multi-country Southeast Asia itinerary?

November to April is the regional dry window when Thailand, Cambodia, Laos and southern Vietnam align; northern Vietnam is at its best September–November and March–April. Green-season departures remain sellable with predictable rain patterns, lighter crowds and better availability.
