A world-class wellness & adventure hub
Thailand is far more than a sightseeing destination — it is a place of profound rejuvenation and exhilarating discovery. From the ancient traditions of Thai massage and herbal medicine to world-class modern resorts in Phuket, Koh Samui and Chiang Mai, the country’s wellness credentials are globally recognised.
Its adventure landscape is just as rich: scuba diving in Koh Tao, jungle trekking in Khao Sok, rock climbing in Krabi, and zip-lining through Chiang Mai’s rainforest canopy. As your dedicated Thailand Destination Management Company, Explera blends wellness, adventure, culture and leisure into every program — through tours and activities designed around your clients.
Thailand’s natural masterpieces, revealed by a leading Thailand DMC
Thailand’s natural landscape is among the most diverse on earth — emerald rainforests teeming with wildlife, powder-soft beaches and crystal-clear water, mist-shrouded mountains and dramatic limestone karsts rising from tropical seas. As your trusted Thailand DMC, Explera reveals both the celebrated icons and the closely guarded hidden gems.
What distinguishes us is depth of on-ground knowledge: we know which limestone bay in Phang Nga is deserted at dawn, which jungle trail in Khao Sok leads to a waterfall on no tourist map, which hilltop in Chiang Rai offers the finest sunrise over the Golden Triangle, and which stretch of Koh Lipe’s shore glows with bioluminescence after dark.
Thailand Beach Resorts — the six regions agents sell most
Thailand Beach Resorts are not one product with six addresses. Two coastlines, two different monsoons and six genuinely distinct resort characters sit behind the phrase, and putting a client on the wrong one is the quickest way to lose the repeat booking. This is how we brief the trade on the Thailand Beach Resorts we handle in-house — who each area suits, when it performs, and how the flights and transfers really work.
The short version: the Andaman side — Phuket, Krabi and Khao Lak — runs its dependable window from November to April, while the Gulf and the near-Bangkok coast — Koh Samui, Hua Hin and Pattaya — hold up through much of the Andaman green season and peak at different moments. When a client's dates are fixed and their expectations are high, quote across both coasts: it is the single most useful thing a Thailand DMC services partner can put in front of a beach brief.
Phuket — the full-service island
The widest choice in the country and the easiest to sell: long-haul and regional flights land directly at HKT, and transfers run from around half an hour to the northern beaches to roughly an hour to the southern headlands. Big-brand family resorts sit on Bang Tao and Kamala, quieter adults-oriented properties on Kata, Nai Harn and the west-coast cliffs. Suits first-time Thailand clients, multi-generation families and anyone who wants dining, spas and island days without moving hotels. Dependable November to April; the green season trades a little certainty for dramatic skies and softer availability pressure.
Krabi — limestone drama
Ao Nang, Klong Muang and the boat-access Railay peninsula, where the scenery does the selling. Clients fly into KBV, or connect overland and by ferry from Phuket in a comfortable half-day. Suits couples, climbers, photographers and island-hoppers who want the Andaman without resort-strip density; less suited to clients who expect nightlife and a shopping mall on the doorstep. Same November-to-April flagship window as Phuket, and the natural second base on a two-centre Andaman itinerary.
Koh Samui — the Gulf alternative
The counterweight to the Andaman calendar. Samui's own airport takes regional and domestic flights, with a ferry-and-coach alternative via Surat Thani for cost-led files. Its strongest stretches run through the northern-hemisphere summer, when the Andaman is at its wettest, and it softens in the late-autumn months — so it rescues August and September beach briefs that Phuket cannot. Suits honeymooners, wellness clients and villa parties on Bophut, Choeng Mon and the quieter south-east coast.
Khao Lak — quiet and family-led
A mainland ribbon of low-rise resorts north of Phuket, reached by road from HKT in roughly an hour to ninety minutes — which makes it an easy sell to clients arriving on Phuket flights but wanting none of Phuket's noise. Suits families with young children, divers heading for the Similan islands in the October-to-May window, and repeat Thailand visitors who have already done the busy beaches. Note that the season is sharper here than elsewhere: a number of properties genuinely wind down in the deep green months, so confirm operating dates before you quote.
Hua Hin — the drive-to coast
Thailand's original royal seaside town, reached from Bangkok by road or rail in around three hours with no second flight to book — which removes a whole layer of risk from a tight itinerary. Suits golf groups, incentive add-ons after Bangkok meetings, and families who want beach time without an internal air segment. Calmer and drier than the islands in the Andaman low months, with a resort stock that runs from heritage grande dames to modern family properties along the Cha-am strip.
Pattaya — closest to Bangkok
Roughly ninety minutes from Suvarnabhumi by road, which makes it the default coast for short stays, delegate programs and any file where an internal flight would eat the budget or the schedule. Suits MICE and incentive groups, families drawn by the theme parks and water parks, and cruise or transit clients with a spare day or two. Steer clients toward Jomtien, Wongamat and Na Jomtien for the calmer resort experience, and remember the offshore islands when a beach day is what the brief actually needs.
How we quote Thailand Beach Resorts for the trade
Every one of these Thailand Beach Resorts is contracted and operated in-house rather than resold through a third party, which is why we can answer season, room-category and transfer questions the same day you ask them. Send the client profile — party shape, dates, what they actually want from a beach — and we will come back with the coast that fits, the property shortlist behind it and the ground plan underneath, through our Thailand hotel booking desk for agents.
Transfers are the part that quietly decides how a beach holiday is remembered, so they are quoted as part of the file, not bolted on: airport meet, pier logistics on the island files and inter-resort legs on two-centre routings, all run by our own-fleet Thailand DMC transport team. For a worked shape you can put in front of a client tomorrow, start from our sample Thailand itineraries for travel agents, or brief the trade desk directly.
