Four Seasons Tented Camp Golden Triangle is a tented camp in Chiang Rai province, at the meeting of the Ruak and Mekong rivers where Thailand, Myanmar and Laos meet, with 15 tents and one two-bedroom Explorer's Lodge. Explera DMC works with the camp as a partner hotel and holds special trade rates for agents. The camp opened in January 2006 and includes all-inclusive benefits for staying guests.
Bill Bensley Design planned the camp almost entirely on stilts and raised walkways, so the forest floor is left alone, and guests arrive by long-tail boat across the Ruak River. The tents have hardwood floors, thatched roofs and handcrafted furniture, and there is no television in the tents. Days are built around elephant activities, the open-air spa, cooking classes and guided hikes on the camp's own trails.
