Keemala is a resort of 38 private pool villas set in rainforest on the hillside above Kamala, on Phuket's west coast. Villa designs range from clay cottages and canvas tents to two-storey tree houses and woven bird's nests, from 126 to 185 sqm. Explera DMC works with Keemala as a partner hotel and holds special trade rates for agents.
The villas are linked by jungle walkways and themed on four clans the resort draws on for its design: Earth, Wanderer, Sky and Nest. There is no private beach; a complimentary shuttle runs to Kamala Beach, Patong is about 15 minutes' drive and Phuket International Airport about 45 minutes by car, by the hotel's own figures.

Clay Pool Cottage & Spa Sanctuary Villa
Clay architecture; the cottages sit beside a stream with forest views. The Spa Sanctuary Villa adds a separate retreat room for massage, yoga or meditation. Both take two guests.
Tent Pool Villa
Seven one-bedroom villas built from canvas, with a king bed, a stand-alone bathtub and outdoor shower, and sunset views over the jungle. For two guests.
Tree Pool House
Seven two-storey houses with an upper-level master bedroom and a large lounge and dining area below, for up to four guests.
Bird's Nest Pool Villa
The largest villa, with a woven exterior, an oversized king bed, a stone tub and views of Kamala bay, rainforest and resort. Up to three guests.
