Bangkok Music City returns to the Charoenkrung area of Bangkok on 30 and 31 January 2027, its organisers have announced, with the first artists named and the venues still to come. What has been announced?
Time Out Bangkok reports that the festival returns in January 2027, and Sounds Australia, which takes Australian acts to it, gives the dates as 30 and 31 January in the Charoenkrung area, with more than 70 artists planned. The organisers are Live Nation Tero, Fungjai and NYLON Thailand. The first artists have since been named, among them Ben&Ben from the Philippines; when we checked, the individual venues and the full programme had not been published.
Who is it for?
Bangkok Music City is a showcase festival and music conference: acts play short sets across small venues, and industry delegates come to scout talent and meet. It suits music professionals, label and festival teams and curious culture travellers more than a fan trip built around one headliner.
Where is Charoenkrung?
Charoenkrung is the old riverside quarter along Charoen Krung Road in Bang Rak, home to the Creative District's galleries, cafés and small venues, and within walking distance of river piers and Saphan Taksin station. Our Bangkok guide covers the area.
