Thai Airways is adding domestic flights from Bangkok Suvarnabhumi to Chiang Mai, Phuket and Krabi from 25 October 2026, according to schedule filings reported by AeroRoutes. Explera DMC Thailand explains what the extra frequencies mean for agents building multi-centre itineraries this high season.

What has been announced?
AeroRoutes reports that Bangkok to Chiang Mai rises from seven to nine daily flights between 25 October 2026 and 31 January 2027, on the A320. From 25 October, Krabi goes from two to three daily and Phuket from eight to nine daily, with some of those flights moving to the A321neo from mid-January 2027. These are schedule filings rather than a press release, so check times before ticketing.
Why does it matter?
More Thai Airways flights from Suvarnabhumi make it easier to connect long-haul arrivals to the north and the Andaman coast on the same day, with luggage checked through on one ticket where fares allow. Our briefing on Thai Airways' winter Europe frequencies covers the long-haul side.
How does it change a multi-centre trip?
A Bangkok, Chiang Mai and Phuket or Krabi itinerary needs two domestic flights, and more departures give more choice of times and less waiting. Our Chiang Mai guide, Phuket guide and Krabi guide cover each stop.
How can a Thailand DMC help?
Domestic flights, transfers and hotels in every stop: a Thailand DMC can arrange the whole route. We book the domestic flights, meet clients at each airport and book hotels in every stop. Our transport team handles the transfers, and the rest is on our Thailand DMC services page.
