The International Baccalaureate (IB) holds its IB Global Conference at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC) in Bangkok from 18 to 20 March 2027, with pre-conference workshops on the first day. Explera DMC Thailand explains what agents planning delegations of teachers and school leaders can arrange now.
Explera handles ground arrangements as a Thailand DMC for travel agents. Its Thai company, Explera DMC Co., Ltd., holds TAT licence 14/05119, the Tourism Business Licence issued by the Department of Tourism, and the group is IATA TIDS-registered (96215733) and a member of ASTA (900408341). What has been announced for the IB Global Conference Bangkok 2027?
The IB lists 18 to 20 March 2027 at QSNCC on Ratchadaphisek Road. Full-day pre-conference workshops run on Thursday 18 March, before the main conference begins, and registrants choose their workshop when they sign up.
When should schools register?
Registration is open on the IB’s website, and its early-bird rate is listed until 9 December 2026. Workshops can fill, and the IB warns that changes may not be possible once they do, so delegates should register before the travel booking is final.
Where should the group stay?
Keeping a school group in one hotel makes evening meetings easier. QSNCC has its own MRT Blue Line station, so a hotel near the Sukhumvit or Silom MRT stations keeps the venue a few stops away for three days of sessions. Our Bangkok destination guide compares those districts, and our calendar of Thailand MICE and business events for 2026–2027 shows what else is on that season.
How can a Thailand DMC help?
QSNCC hosts Aviation Festival Asia on 16 and 17 March, just before the conference, so a Thailand DMC should hold rooms early and set release dates school by school as each confirms its delegates. We then arrange airport transfers, a welcome dinner and, where host schools agree, visits to IB schools in Bangkok through our MICE team and group travel desk.
Next steps
Send us the number of delegates, their schools and the preferred arrival dates through our contact page. The Thailand DMC trade desk answers within 24 hours and checks the conference dates with you before anything is confirmed.
