The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) says its Amazing Thailand Ambassador campaign with the Thai artist LISA, launched at Wat Arun in Bangkok on 28 January 2026, has passed 448 million media exposures and 89.4 million views of its films. TAT published the results on 15 September, with eight locations from the campaign and visitor figures for two of them. This briefing, from a Thailand DMC for travel agents, lists the locations and shows how to turn a campaign clients have already seen into a programme they can book.

What TAT reported
- Campaign: "Feel All the Feelings, Seeking Thailand's Wonders", with LISA as Amazing Thailand Ambassador.
- Reach: more than 448 million media exposures, 89.4 million views of the campaign films and 464 million engagements.
- Red Lotus Sea, Udon Thani: visitor numbers up 79.66% and revenue up 208.07% in February 2026, according to TAT.
- Khao Sok National Park, Surat Thani: visitor numbers up 34% from February to June 2026.
TAT Governor Thapanee Kiatphaibool said travel decisions are increasingly shaped by stories, content and experiences that create an emotional connection before the journey begins. For an agent, that means some clients now arrive asking for a place they saw in a campaign film, not for a region.
The eight locations TAT named
- Wat Arun, Bangkok: the riverside temple where the campaign was launched.
- Wat Chedi Luang, Chiang Mai: the ruined great chedi in the old city.
- Red Lotus Sea, Udon Thani: the lotus lake at Nong Han, a seasonal sight.
- Khao Sok National Park, Surat Thani: rainforest and the Cheow Lan reservoir.
- Choui Fong Tea Plantation, Chiang Rai: terraced tea fields in the far north.
- Koh Talu, Rayong: a small island off the eastern coast.
- Wat Phutthabat Suthawat, Lampang.
- Phu Langka, Phayao: a mountain area in the north.

How to package the locations
Bangkok and Chiang Mai first. Wat Arun and Wat Chedi Luang sit inside the two cities most clients already visit, so they are the easiest to add: a river evening in Bangkok and an old-city walk in Chiang Mai. Our Bangkok guide and Chiang Mai guide cover both.
A northern loop. Chiang Mai, Lampang, Phayao and Chiang Rai can be joined on one road journey, which brings in Wat Phutthabat Suthawat, Phu Langka and the Choui Fong tea fields. Our Chiang Rai guide covers the far north.
Season matters. The Red Lotus Sea is a cool-season sight, best early in the morning; our Udon Thani expo briefing covers the season and the expo running at the same time. Khao Sok is a year-round park, but check that trails and boat trips are running before you sell a date in the last weeks of the rains; our national parks briefing explains how closures work.

Who it suits
The campaign works best for younger travellers, fans and social-media-led clients who want to stand where the films were shot, and for repeat visitors looking for something beyond the usual first-trip circuit. It is less useful for a client on a short first visit, who is better served by Bangkok and one beach. Do not promise a client the same light, the same crowds or access to anywhere that is closed to the public: sell the place, not the film.
How to sell it
Build a short "campaign trail" as an add-on to an existing programme rather than a separate tour, and confirm opening times and seasons before you quote. Our Thailand DMC tours team can design the add-on, and our guide services can explain each site in the client's language. Ask your Thailand DMC to time temple visits for early morning, when they are quieter and cooler. A Thailand DMC with its own vehicles can also run the northern loop as a private road trip.
