What changes for 2027?
The Nation reported on 17 August 2026 that the August edition, held from 13 to 16 August at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center, drew more than 20,000 athletes from over 60 countries, 29% of them from abroad, which the organisers called the largest HYROX event yet staged in Asia. The next edition moves to the Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Centre (BITEC) from 11 to 14 February 2027, within the HYROX Asia-Pacific 2026/27 season. Why does Bangkok matter for the World Championships?
According to The Nation, the PUMA HYROX World Championships will be held in Hong Kong from 10 to 13 June 2027, the first time they come to the Asia-Pacific region, and Bangkok races in designated divisions carry qualifying places. For athletes in Australia, East Asia and the Gulf, a February race in Bangkok is one route to Hong Kong, which gives gyms and training clubs a reason to travel as a group.
