TAT's ASEAN India+ Shoppers Campaign Adds Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh: What It Means for Agents

Dispatch No. 515

18 October 2026 · David Leo · Explera Trade Desk · 4 min read

The Tourism Authority of Thailand has widened its ASEAN India+ Shoppers in Thailand 2026 campaign to visitors from Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, alongside ASEAN and India, with shopping, dining and hotel privileges running until the end of November. Explera DMC Thailand explains how agents can fold it into a city stay.

Explera handles ground arrangements as a Thailand DMC for travel agents. Its Thai company, Explera DMC Co., Ltd., holds TAT licence 14/05119, the Tourism Business Licence issued by the Department of Tourism, and the group is IATA TIDS-registered (96215733) and a member of ASTA (900408341). What has TAT announced?

On 16 October 2026 TAT announced the third edition of the campaign, which runs from September to November. This year it adds travellers from Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh to the ASEAN and Indian markets it already covered, and TAT is aiming for 30,000 participating visitors.

How do clients use the privileges?

More than 50 partners, among them King Power, Central and Robinson department stores, The Mall Group, One Bangkok, MBK, Siam Piwat and Asiatique The Riverfront, offer discounts, vouchers and gifts across shopping, dining and hotels. Visitors register with a QR code or on the campaign website, aseanindiashoppers.com, and redeem the offers there. We do not quote the values: clients see them when they register.

Which clients does it suit?

Families and small groups from India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Pakistan who already plan a day or two of shopping in Bangkok. The campaign changes no entry rule and adds no flight, so treat it as a bonus on a trip the client is taking anyway. Our Bangkok guide covers the main shopping districts.

How can a Thailand DMC help?

A hotel close to the malls, a car and driver for the shopping day so the bags go straight back to the room, and an airport run with space for the extra luggage: a Thailand DMC can put all of it together. Our hotel team handles rooms, and every other service is on our Thailand DMC services page.
