What has been announced for Bangkok Design Week 2027?
The Creative Economy Agency (CEA), a Thai public organisation under the Office of the Prime Minister, organises the festival. Its 2027 announcement gives the full theme as “Design to Last: Ever Evolving, Everlasting” and names Charoenkrung and Talat Noi among the districts, with programmes in other areas of Bangkok. Who is it for?
It is a public festival spread across galleries, shophouses and public spaces, so it suits study groups from design schools, architecture practices and creative agencies as well as clients who simply like design. CEA says the festival draws more than 400,000 visitors a year from Thailand and abroad.
Where should the group stay?
Charoenkrung and Talat Noi sit along the Chao Phraya River, so a riverside hotel keeps the core districts within walking distance, while a base near MRT Hua Lamphong or BTS Saphan Taksin gives the group train links to venues elsewhere in the city.
